Park Elementary students showcased Better Worlds Week projects on May 15th, presenting service-based learning efforts including kits for the Women's Resource Center, short films on water awareness, and organized food drives —an effort that shows how students can be changemakers.

Parents and community members visited the school and admired the displays —building support for the students' work in the community.

The City of Durango reminds residents that the Colorado Department of Transportation will close U.S. Highway 550 for six hours today between Purgatory Resort and Silverton for the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic.
