At its regular council meeting on Tuesday, July 1, the council will vote on a resolution to approve the second round of Lodgers’ Tax Arts and Culture funding for 2025 — the measure is set to support local arts programming — as officials outline the fiscal plan.

In April 2024, Axis Healthcare received a $1.3 million grant to work with local partners to train healthcare support staff.

The program will place 150 people in jobs—helping to fill key roles amid ongoing staffing challenges.
