- ➤ Durango Fire and Rescue is asking voters to approve a property tax increase to fund a new fire station in Three Springs—Fire Chief Randy Black said the station will cut response times across the district; if passed on both the city and district ballots, homeowners may pay about $3.25 more per week, which is less than a large Starbucks pumpkin spice latte.
